Alter Sleeves COVID-19 Practices
Here at Alter Sleeves we’re working hard to keep spreading creativity instead of COVID-19.
We are experiencing less orders during this time. This, in combination with the hygiene and safety practices mentioned below, have led us to decide to ship out only on Tuesday, instead of three times a week, and will continue until further notice.
When we ship your order, you will receive a notification email to say it is on its way: we are based in the Netherlands, so European orders are estimated to take between 5-10 business but global delivery may take up to 7 – 8 weeks due to delays in delivery networks and customs. All estimates start from when you receive the notification your order has shipped, not from when the order is made.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer tracking.
For now, if you have any questions about how we deal with COVID-19, feel free reach out to us via social media. We want to thank you all for reading this. Stay home, stay safe.
Decreased Prices, Increased Royalty Rate
COVID-19 has had an impact on almost all people and businesses. We want to do what we can to keep Alter Sleeves going and keep supporting the amazing Alterists who share their designs on our platform.
Until further notice, we are reducing the price per sleeve to $6 (US and Rest of World) / €6 (EU inc. VAT) including shipping, for a minimum order of 2 sleeves.
To support our Alterists the best we can, we will be increasing the royalty rate they get paid for all designs purchased at this temporary price. With this, we hopefully contribute something positive to our community in these hard times.
Hygiene and Safety
We want you to know we take your safety as well as our own very seriously. With everything we do, we are following the advice that the Health Department from the Dutch government (Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu) gives out.
In the office, we are doing everything we can to keep our staff and product safe. The staff will work from home as much as they are able to. For the limited production staff that are able to safely come into the office (it’s walking distance and in a private office), we are thoroughly cleaning and practicing good hygiene. We also make sure that if anyone feels ill they are not coming in and are self-isolating.
When packing products we have always worn gloves to ensure that the sleeves would arrive to you clean no matter what. In addition, we have done research that has shown that the virus is not viable on plastic and cardboard for more than 24-72 hours. This means that by the time the product arrives, if there had been some exposure the product would still be safe to handle. If you would like to read more about this, we recommend this article from the New England Journal of Medicine.
Thank you for supporting Alter Sleeves and our Alterists.
